The schedule is Monday through Thursday for 10 hours each day. Vacation coverage is needed for two Fridays, half a day. The number of beds in the unit is variable, with a capacity of up to 25 beds. Generally, there are fewer than 5 patients requiring a float between outpatient and inpatient care. Outpatient care comprises 80% of the workload, while inpatient care consists of acute care and swing bed services at 20%. This position accepts 40 hours guaranteed. Candidates must have strong orthopedic skills and experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Experience with electronic medical records systems is required. Applicants should demonstrate a willingness to supervise physical therapy assistants.
